Photography Test shoots

This is a photo i took using the research that i did photography i used a old looking brick wall for the effect that i needed.  However, this photo is not what i need as my model is not in the correct pose therefore i will need to look more into the poses and get my model to look at these poses and mimic them.  I could not take into consideration costume as it was shot on a college day and we did not plan the photo shoot not as well as i feel i could.  Although i did not consider costume i took into consideration of the framing as i made sure that the artists eye line is positioned in the top 3rd of the page with space left for the mast head which would make this photo ideal for a front cover if i got the pose correct.  I feel that the wall that i used could work so i will consider using this for my final product providing i get the right artist and right pose.

For these two photos i had a different approach as i used the studio for the photos again these photos would be good for my front cover i feel as the one above has space for the mast head above which is good.  Again, the pose is wrong for the genre of the music which i obviously need to work on getting my models to do i also will consider using a female model which would be less hassle i think so i will definitely  consider for my magazine.  The eye line is a bit low for the shot, this would be better if it was a low angled shot looking up at my model as it would give him power, etc.  which would fit the genre of the magazine more.  This photo is good also as i will have space for sell lines either side of the artist.  Again i could consider using this if i got the pose correct which would really help this photo.

This photo is a good photo as it is a good use of props to fit the genre of music,  The leaning forward helps the photo as it gives the artist a look of power, confidence and authority.  The headphones connote he has a very strong music taste which is a key give away to the magazine as the headphones are associated with the genre of the music.  The eye line is positioned well in the top third of the page, the clothing could be better as the clothes that my model has on is not associated with the genre.This photo is restricted as the sell lines would be over lapping the photo or the photo will be overlapping the sell lines.
